What is Sculptra™?
Sculptra™ is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic material. It is used to restore facial volume, diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and stimulate collagen production for long-lasting results.
How does Sculptra™ work?
Sculptra™ works by stimulating the body’s natural collagen production, gradually replenishing lost volume and improving skin texture over time. Sculptra™ is gradually absorbed by the body, triggering collagen synthesis and restoring youthful facial contours.

How many treatments are needed?
The number of Sculptra™ treatments needed varies depending on individual factors such as the degree of volume loss and the desired outcome. Most patients typically require a series of treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. We usually say for every decade of years you would need 1 vial. (example: if your 40 years old we would suggest 4 vials)
What is the treatment process like?
During a Sculptra™ treatment session, you are numbed for 30 minutes prior to your treatment to minimize any discomfort. The product is injected into the targeted areas using a fine needle or cannula. After the injections, gentle massage of the treated areas helps ensure even distribution of the product.
Is there downtime after Sculptra™ treatment?
There is typically minimal downtime after Sculptra™ treatment. Some patients may experience temporary swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these side effects usually resolve within a few days. Most patients are able to resume their normal activities immediately after treatment.
When will I see results from Sculptra™?
Results from Sculptra™ treatment are not immediate and develop gradually over several weeks to months as collagen production is stimulated. While individual results may vary, most patients begin to notice improvements in facial volume and skin texture within a few weeks after treatment.
How long do results from Sculptra™ last?
The results of Sculptra™ treatment are long-lasting since it is buildng your own collagen. Typically lasting up to two years or more in some cases. However, maintenance treatments may be recommended to sustain the desired outcome over time possibly once every year.
